We have experienced that families find it easier to make decisions regarding their pet’s final arrangements before the death occurs. At the time of your pet’s death you are under great stress and grief. We offer payment plans for pre-arrangements and by pre-paying you freeze the price of the funeral. No matter how many years go by or if something happens to you, your pet’s plans will be arranged and paid for.
Cremation is simply the hastening of the natural processes by a clean, sanitary and entirely modern method, which is quickly effected by a clean intense flame that returns the body to its original elements. All that remains are the calcified bone fragments (cremated remains), which are collected and processed and placed in an urn of your choice or a temporary container. The cremains are always kept separated and never comingled unless group cremation (simple cremation) is selected.

PRIVATE: A Private Cremation is when your pet is cremated by himself. At no time are there any other pets inside the cremation equipment while your pet’s cremation is taking place. You are assured that you will receive the cremated remains of your pet. We usually pickup your pet at the Veterinarian Hospital. If you need us to come to your home, arrangements can usually be made.
SEMI-PRIVATE: A Semi-Private Cremation is when your pet is cremated with 2-3 other pets. Each pet is placed into his own cremation tray. You are assured that you will receive the cremated remains of your pet. Please realize that within the cremation chamber airborne particles from each pet will mix within all cremains. We usually pick up your pet at the Veterinarian Hospital. If you need us to come to your home, arrangements can usually be made.
GROUP CREMATION: A group cremation is a cremation that is performed when the owner does not want the cremated remains returned. The pets are collected and cremated together. The cremated remains cannot be returned and no cremation certificate is offered. This type of cremation is also referred to as a simple cremation. If you need us to come to your home, arrangements can usually be made.
Pet Plantation has its own state of the art crematorium at the funeral home. You may come and observe the placement of your pet into the crematorium. We have a system of checks and balances by which we keep track of your pet, whether your pet is picked up at your veterinarian clinic or at your home. There is an authorization form filled out and an identification tag placed on your pet before we leave. At the funeral home, your pet is given a cremation identification number on a metal disc. This disc is kept with your pet throughout the cremation process and stays with the cremains when returned to the family.
This is a personal decision. Today, there are hundreds of styles of urns and many can be personalized for you, from handmade wood urns to Keepsake Jewelry. Most families choose an urn to memorialize their pet. Each pound of your pet equals 1 cubic inch of urn space. If your pet weighs 100 pounds, then you would need an urn that is 100 cubic inches big.
We have staff available on call. Just call our office number and our answering machine will give you our emergency phone number. You may call the number to reach us and we will help you in any way. For an additional fee, we will come to your home to remove your pet and bring him to our funeral home.
Yes, you may place toys, letters, pictures, mostly anything of this nature with your pet that makes you feel comfortable. The exceptions are anything metal or a toy with batteries.
